Help us build South London's First Children's Hospice

Our security team here at Lewisham Shopping are raising even more money for the Demelza hospice. 

Static Bike Ride  (15th-17th August)

 

A fantastic 3 days of pedalling saw the local Police, other partners and our security team pedalling from Lands End to John O'Groats on static bikes. The 1,000 mile target was broken and at the end of the third day, the total achieved was a 1,007 miles. Well done to all those that participated. We would like to thank Fitness First and Lewisham Leisure for their kind support by providing us with the static bikes.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Other events coming up:

Sky Jump (23rd August)

Louise from our security team and Jade from The Body Shop will be sky diving on 23rd August to raise funds. Whether permitting, the event will be held in the morning at the air field in Headcorn, Kent. Why not pop along to cheer on the girls to support this great cause.

The total amount raised to date by our security team is £6,100.

Raffle:  BMX Bike

A raffle is being held at the Centre to win a BMX bike. Tickets are £1 each and are available at the Information Kiosk. The grand draw will be on 6th September.

30th August

There will be a collection in Centre Square just behind the Information Kiosk all day.  

5th & 6th September

A tombola will be held in Centre Square just behind the Information Kiosk.

What is Demelza?

Demelza, the hospice care for children charity, is to start up new services in South London for children with life limiting and life threatening conditions and their families. A new building at Court Road, Eltham, London SE9 is in the process of being built and is due for completion by the end of December this year.

Lewisham Shopping security team have been working hard every month raising money to buy a mini bus to transport the children at the new Demelza Hospice in Eltham. Since March this year, the security team has thought up various ways of fundraising starting with an Easter Raffle, followed by tombolas and a charity evening.
