Christmas Cheer for Lewisham Locals

To celebrate the newly refurbished Lewisham Shopping Centre, more than 300 local children will team up with the Wicked

Faerie and her artist friends on Saturday 24th November from 11am-5pm.

Lewisham Town Centre will come alive with Christmas-themed walkabout street arts, floating angels from Larkinabout, and the amazing processional band Crocodile Style.  Entertainment begins at 11am.

There will also be entertainment on the bandstand from Lewisham’s schools and community performance groups, free arts crafts workshops, and a French Christmas market selling goodies for Christmas. The day will be hosted by up and coming pop star Shereen Shabana. Shereen will also be singing three songs throughout the afternoon.

The stunning Lewisham Winter Festival Lantern Procession with children carrying lanterns through Lewisham Town Centre and through Lewisham Shopping Centre will be led by the stars of the Broadway Theatre pantomime - Aladdin. Characters will include Aladdin himself played by Chris Park (previously of boy-band Phixx), the iminitable John Brenner as pantomime Dame Widow Twanky and CBBs star Nicole Davies.

The Lewisham Winter Festival is free and is funded by Lewisham Shopping Centre, Lewisham Council’s Town Centre management team and Lewisham Market, as a joint project to animate the town centre in the lead up to Christmas.
